to the Panhandle Bird Club

The Panhandle Bird Club is a group of birders in the northernmost 26 countes of Texas, an area covering 25,000 square miles. All individuals interested in watching, appreciating, attracting, identifying, counting, photographing, and/or protecting wild birds in the Texas Panhandle are welcome.

The Panhandle Bird Club meets on the second Tuesday of every month (except March, when it is the third Tuesday) at 6:30 p.m. at the Amarillo College STEM Research Center on Van Buren Street in Amarillo, Texas (directly across from the Amarillo Museum of Art).

Guided birding field trips, both locally in the Texas Panhandle and to other birding hotspots within driving distance are offered by the club. Check the field trips page for more specifics.

The club hosts picnics, potlucks, Birds and Brews and other events that allow birders to connect to like-minded individuals in the Texas Panhandle.
